Well it’s been over two weeks (whoops!). Two lovely weeks getting up to speed at work, trying to figure out where my role is on the team and make sure I’m helping out and learning as much as I can. And also two weeks learning my way around my new neighborhood, figuring out some good places for dinner (and quick meals). There’s a Netherlands equivalent of Chipotle here called Salsa Shop, and they have this place called Wok the Walk (or Walk the Wok - can’t remember) and it’s basically a build your own stir fry…it’s incredible.
My coworkers have been amazing to work with and hang out with. Gone for drinks and dinner a couple nights after work so far and really had a great time. It’s nice to be on a smaller project and a more close knit team after Tesla! And with the company still being in its beginning stages here in Europe, everyone really gets along well and supports each other.
This past weekend, I spent it out and about in Amsterdam (in the intermittent rain that is relatively consistent). There's a famous local market right down the street from me called Albert Cuyp Market. It's full of miscellaneous stands of clothing, fruits, meat, vegetables, and more. Including a couple of street food stands where you can get Stroopwaffles or Frites! I picked up some solid fresh food for the apartment Saturday morning. Then, in what was a large concern for me, I finally found what I believe to be Havarti Cheese (ma fave with crackers). Havent done a taste test yet, but if it is in fact my dream cheese, I'll have to start making special trips for it! Because, why not, right?
Spent the rest of the weekend just walling down the 9 streets, which is a shopping area in central Amsterdam, to see what was there for future possible errands.

And that's it for now! Tune in for more…weather depending I'm hoping to get out of Amsterdam next weekend to The Hague or Rotterdam.
